Privacy Policy

What lensthetic collects, why it needs it, who helps run the service and the control you keep over your data.

Last updated 28 October 2026

Your photos stay on your iPhone

Photos you put in a poster, and their cut-outs, are processed on the device and never uploaded.

No ads, no tracking

lensthetic uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.

Yours to delete

Delete your account from Profile, Settings at any time: your profile and templates go with it.

01

Who we are

lensthetic is made by Samuel Adorni, an individual developer based in Italy, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@astrall.app.

02

What we collect

lensthetic works with an account: you sign up once and every feature is open to you. With your account we keep:

  • Account data: your email address and password (stored only as a hash by our authentication provider). If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email address the provider shares; with Apple this can be a private relay address.
  • Profile: name, @username, bio and profile photo.
  • Your templates: the templates you save or publish: layout, colours, fonts, effects, texts, tags, description and a preview image. Previews are drawn with the stock photos that come with the app, never with your photos.
  • Safety: the people you block and the reports you send.
  • Use counts: how many times a published template has been used, without recording who used it.

lensthetic uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.

03

Your photos

The photos you put in a poster are read from your library through the system photo picker and processed on your iPhone, including the subject cut-out, which uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. They are never uploaded. When you print, the poster is saved to your photo library with add-only access: lensthetic cannot read your library.

A published template never carries your photos: every photo space in it shows one of the stock photos bundled with the app, and our server refuses a template without them.

04

What other users can see

Published templates are public to other lensthetic users, with their preview and your name, @username and profile photo. Your profile shows your name, @username, photo, bio and published templates. Drafts and unpublished templates are visible only to you.

05

Why we use your data

  • to provide the service: your account, your profile, saving and publishing templates and the Community (performance of a contract)
  • to keep the Community safe: handling reports and blocks and preventing abuse (legitimate interest)

06

Who processes it for us

  • Supabase: database, authentication and storage of profile photos and template previews
  • Apple and Google: sign-in, only if you choose them
  • Vercel: hosts this website, without cookies or analytics

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. In that case the transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

07

On your device

Your login session is kept in the iOS Keychain. Posters in progress, the templates you liked and your settings are stored in the app on your iPhone and are removed if you delete the app.

08

How long we keep it

Your data is kept until you delete it or your account. Deleting a template removes it from the service. Deleting your account removes your profile, your photo and every template you made right away; posters other people already made from your templates stay on their devices.

09

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to its use, and withdraw your consent at any time.

To delete your account and all its data, use Profile, Settings, Delete account in the app, or write to support@astrall.app from the email address of the account: we delete it within 30 days.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).

10

Children

lensthetic is not meant for children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
